Dave uses a variety of teaching methods, including in-lesson demonstrations, recorded examples for at-home review, and step-by-step guidance to ensure you not only understand what you want to play but also how to achieve it.

A key component of Dave’s approach is connecting drummers to their roots. Lessons often incorporate insights into the history of drumming and music, highlighting the influence of legendary players, iconic bands, and timeless songwriters.

Each session is highly interactive, offering plenty of hands-on practice. From mastering rudiments on the practice pad and exploring snare drum solos to working through reading exercises, jamming to drumless tracks, or playing along with classic records, every lesson is designed to elevate your playing and sound. Instruction is always tailored to your individual goals and readiness.

Adding to the unique learning experience, lessons take place on a vintage Gretsch drum kit, creating an inspiring and authentic environment for drummers to thrive.
